同德圍位於中國廣東省廣州市西北角，面積3.59平方公里，因四周分別被石井河和珠江支流所包圍，故名同德圍。現居住30萬居民，只有西灣路和西槎路貫穿南北，被視為一座圍城。
歷史上的同德圍包括鵝掌坦、田心、粵溪、上步、橫滘5個村落。 20世紀初由於水路交通發達，許多廣州週邊城鎮商人在此聚居。 1990年廣州市人民政府將同德圍規劃為大型的住房解困區，1996年因興建地鐵和內環路，數萬老城區拆遷戶被安置於此，1998年興建教師新村，但交通、環境、治安、醫療、教育等方面均未能與市區接軌。其困境首先於2005年廣州電視台的主打節目新聞日報報道，2007年底再次進入媒體的報道範圍。
2010年1月19日上步橋作為同德圍西槎路跨越北環高速的唯一橋樑，自從前日橋墩被撞壞後全面封閉禁行，21條公交線路被截斷，機動車無法通行，同德圍10萬居民出遊嚴重受阻，中斷了26日後上步橋恢復通車。
2012年1月21日連接西槎路、增槎路的同康路順利實現春節前通車，備受關注的同德圍地區交通環境可大為改善。 2014年12月28日開通南北高架，以解決同德圍只有增槎路、上步橋路段唯一陸路出入瓶頸所導致的交通堵塞問題。
廣州地鐵8號線已於2020年11月26日延伸並南北穿越整個同德圍地區並設有多個車站，也有望解決當地居民進出的交通問題。

Tongdewei is located in the northwest corner of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, with an area of 3.59 square kilometers. It is named Tongdewei because it is surrounded by Shijing River and tributaries of the Pearl River. There are currently 300,000 residents, and only Xiwan Road and Xicha Road run through the north and south, and it is regarded as a besieged city.
Historically, Tongdewei includes five villages: Ezhangtan, Tianxin, Yuexi, Shangbu, and Hengjiao. In the early 20th century, due to the development of water transportation, many merchants from towns around Guangzhou settled here. In 1990, the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government planned Tongdewei as a large housing relief area. In 1996, due to the construction of the subway and the inner ring road, tens of thousands of old city demolition households were resettled here. In 1998, a new teacher village was built, but the transportation, environment, public security, medical care, education and other aspects have not been connected with the urban area. Its plight was first reported in the main program of Guangzhou TV in 2005, News Daily, and it entered the media coverage again at the end of 2007.
On January 19, 2010, Shangbu Bridge, as the only bridge across the North Ring Expressway on Tongdewei Xicha Road, was completely closed to traffic after the bridge pier was damaged the day before. 21 bus routes were cut off and motor vehicles could not pass. The travel of 100,000 residents in Tongdewei was seriously hindered. After 26 days of interruption, Shangbu Bridge resumed traffic.
On January 21, 2012, Tongkang Road, which connects Xicha Road and Zengcha Road, was successfully opened to traffic before the Spring Festival, and the traffic environment in the Tongdewei area, which has attracted much attention, can be greatly improved. On December 28, 2014, the north-south elevated road was opened to solve the traffic congestion problem caused by the only land access bottleneck of Zengcha Road and Shangbu Bridge sections in Tongdewei.
Guangzhou Metro Line 8 was extended on November 26, 2020 and crosses the entire Tongdewei area from north to south and has multiple stations, which is also expected to solve the traffic problems of local residents in and out.
