William Waters

Coach Waters was a three time State Placer for the Flint Northern Vikings capping his prep career with a State Title. He went on to compete for the University of Michigan where he was a three time National Qualifier. He returned to his Alma Mater as an Assistant Coach. During that four year the Vikings won four district titles, one regional title and a Team State Title in 1995. Mark Brunger

Coach Brunger coached for 11 years at the high school level at Muskegon Orchard View, Williamston, Muskegon Reeths-Puffer and Muskegon Catholic Central. Former GVSU Head Coach Rick Bolhuis!

Coach Bolhuis was a Four Time National Finalist for Grand Valley winning the 174 Title in 2004. In his thirteen seasons Coach Bolhuis mentored 50 Laker Wrestlers who earned 76 All-American honors including seven individual National Champions and two Outstanding Wrestler Awards. The team also won the North Central/Great Lakes Conference 10 times. Additionally the team won two traditional format National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) National Championships (2007 and 2008) and three Dual National Championships (2007, 2008, and 2009). The team has five runner-up finishes (4 team, 1 Dual) and 20 total top-five finishes (9 team, 11 dual) under his tenure. Coach Bolhuis also garnered North Central or Great Lakes Conference Coach of the Year honors five times (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2016), GVSU's Club Sports Coach of the Year in 2011, and NCWA National Coach of the Year in 2008, and D1 Coach of the Year in 2016. In addition, the 2016 team was named GVSU Club Sports Men's Team of the Year. In Leadership Coach Bolhuis was Assistant Tournament Director for NCWA National Tournament in 2006.
