To address issues such as shrinking population, overburdened metropolitan areas and an imbalance of urban and rural development, Taiwan established the Regional Revitalisation Board that designated 2019 as the Year of Regional Revitalisation. But even before that, innovative youths had launched ground-up initiatives that had transformed traditional industries in their rural hometowns. This episode looks at how they did it, the differences they’ve made, and the challenges moving forward.
