The Christian Wood trade was a very low-risk, high-reward move. The Mavs gave up four guys who weren't in the playoff rotation and also freed up three roster spots. Wood is a very talented big man. Not only is he is athletic, he is also comfortable at creating his own shot and putting the ball on the floor. I think he will thrive next to Luka Doncic as he can be both a lob threat like Dwight Powell and a pick and pop threat (he shot 40% on catch and shoot 3's this season) like Maxi Kleber.
