Hugh Hendry, financier and founding partner of hedge fund Eclectica Asset Management, speaks with Daniela Cambone at the 2022 Stansberry Conference and Alliance Meeting. He argues that there are three forms of money and money will get hit the hardest. Inflation is asset price inflation. They are tumbling, "we are seeing monetary destruction." He asks, when has the Fed last done anything worth celebrating? The inflation we have is a "political problem, on the cusp of a deflationary catastrophe to the likes of which we've never seen." Hendry concludes by arguing, "we are being condemned to the errors of the early 2010s."
