The Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics have delivered to almost of all of the expectations many had going into this highly anticipated 2022 NBA Finals. But what not many expected, was for Andrew Wiggins to playing as big of a role alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson that he has been throughout the first five games of this series.
Andrew Wiggins, both through his offense and defense, has seemingly been the 2nd star of Golden State in this series, and he has been dominating in terms of expectations. But what many are not giving Andrew Wiggins as much credit for as he should receive is absolutely through his defense, specifically on Jayson Tatum.
The argument can be made that the Golden State Warriors would not be in this series if it weren’t for Andrew Wiggins and him becoming a human highlight reel, and they might have already lost the series to the Boston Celtics at this point. Nonetheless, with the play of Andrew Wiggins, alongside other crucial pieces like Jordan Poole, Gary Payton II, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green & Kevon Looney stepping up in the right time when they are needed, the Warriors sit just one win away from being crowned 2022 NBA Champions.
