It's been a fun time and we're grateful for all our listeners and supporters. But it's time to end the podcast and turn our attention to other things. Susan had some gigs, Art's dad got Covid on his 100th so he stayed at home and did some DIY plumbing to cure his haunted toilet.
As Art celebrates the twenty year anniversary of surviving his cardiac arrest, he also prepares to go to Bend for his father's 100th birthday party. So we started talking about mortality and end up talking about what we used to eat growing up and what we're eating now. TV dinners to healthy dinners.
Well, we decided to keep the fun going for another year. We probably won't publish every week but when we have something new to talk about... like the last month. Art got Covid. Then he got better. Both of us taped a show for possible distribution, and Art had a weekend performing in Lincoln City and looked for the mythical ornamental glass balls that are supposedly hidden in the sand. (right next to the gnomes and leprechauns)

We're not sure how many episodes we have left but we're definitely heading towards something different. In the meantime, we Art had his first show in a long while and Susan continues to recover from her mild Covid ordeal by watching stuff on tv and the internet that she know will piss her off. Fun times.
Well it was bound to happen. One of us caught the virus. Susan tested positive for Covid this week so we're back to a zoom episode. Luckily, she had the vaccine so she's not too sick. but she's feeling really loopy and tired. And we decided to talk about her experience. Wish her well everybody. And stay safe.
Bailey's and coffee on ice. How nice. Ok, it was an off brand Irish cream and we didn't have ice. But we did have a good time griping about the week and getting philosophical about friendship. If only we could have stayed on any topic longer than a few minutes. We did have some good laughs though.
Toxic Masculinity. How much of the world's suffering is caused by men trying to puff themselves up to seem like tough, strong, and powerful. Putin, Trump, Will Smith? Susan and Art have a lively discussion about this worldwide problem and what can be done about it. Why is it that men are only allowed to show their emotions through anger, pride, and isolation? In this episode we start with a few final thoughts about Will Smith and move on to Louis C.K. and other poor examples of masculinity. Art gives his ideas about what a real man should look like and Susan talks about how difficult it is for a woman in a world so dominated by male toxicity.

As we approach the two year anniversary of the pandemic, it feels like we've been stretched to the breaking point for so long we're finally about to snap. How long will we have to continue to isolate? Will we still have any kind of social life when it's over? In this episode we talk about quarantine fatigue (again), funny news stories, and Art is hoping for more streaming channels because he's seen all the content on all the channels. Many are still working remotely but many others have taken this last two years as a chance to reset, rethink the "living to work" model and do what they want to do with their precious lives.
